Well, what can I say... I'm a beach bum! Well, kind of... I grew up in Etters PA, near Harrisburg, and graduated from Red Land HS in 1988. From there, I moved to Morgantown, WV to attend college at West Virginia University (WVU). What could be further from the beach, but while I was in school, I traveled to the Outer Banks often for long weekends. In 1993 after finishing school, I moved to the Outer Banks (OBX), NC to pursue my passion for windsurfing. While on the OBX I worked in construction and spent my evenings managing the Nags Head BrewThru. It was a fun time slinging beers at night, and surfing/windsurfing during the day! In 1997, I decided to shift gears and move into the corporate world. I relocated to the Washington DC area to work in the world of information technology. I landed a job with the Marasco Newton Group (MNG) as a Web developer/IT analyst. In 2001 I began teleworking for MNG after buying my first home in Nags Head, NC. I just could not spend any more time away from the water, and the DC traffic drove me crazy! In 2002, MNG was aquired by SRA International, a leading Federal IT services provider. I continue to work for SRA as a senior software engineer specializing in information security and assurance. I still enjoy windsurfing, surfing, and kiteboarding whenever conditions are good. It is a wonderful thing to get off the clock around 5:30pm, prepped for a sunset session on the water to finish off the day.
